PIDBF - 1st Club Crew Championship for Commonwealth Countries 2010

Penang Dragon Boat Festival in cooperation with Penang State Goverment organized an event called "1st Club Crew Championship for Commonwealth Countries 2010". The details of this race are as follows:

Date : 23rd - 25th July 2010

Place : Teluk Bahang Dam, Penang

MMU Watersport Club Cyberjaya once again sending MMU Putra Dragon Boat Teamand this time a larger members of team were sent. We manage to sent 2 teams consist of 48 students. This dragon boat race using a 22 crew boat type. Our team participate in 3 categories which are:

1. 2000 meter (2 Mixed Team)

2. 200 meter ( 2 Mixed Team, 1 Mens Team & 1 Womens Team)

3. 500 meter ( 2 Mixed Team, 1 Mens Team and 1 Womens Team)

It was a two day race. On the first day of race is for 2000m and 200m and for last day race is for 500m race.

The results of this race are as follows:

1. 2ooo meter race:

• 5th place & 7th place

2. 200 meter race:

• Mixed Team - 2nd place & 3rd place in Minor's Final
• Mens Team - 2nd place in Minor's Final
• Womens Team - 2nd place in Final

3. 500 meter race:

• Mens Team - 2nd place in Minor's Final
• Womens Team - 2nd place in Final
